Introducing my "kids"

Just a quick blog to introduce my "kids". I will give more background info later, as time permits. I have 6 cockatoo's. They have all been rehomed more than once and I am their final home. I know have a sanctuary for one of the worlds smartest birds. I am very against captive breeding of these amazing creatures. They are simply not meant to be captive birds. I call them the adhd birds of the parrot world. Imagine having an adhd 3 year old for 20 to 50 years + and that is what these birds are like. Fortunately I am adhd & so we have common ground. So welcome and now you will meet the kids.

So this is how the world looks upside downsi Angel hanging upside down in a tree for the 1st time. He is a Goffin 'too. I am at least his 3rd home, he was 6 when he came to live with us.

Grandma told me about treessi Babar in a tree for the 1st time in his life. He is an Umbrella 'too. He is about 4 1/2 years old and I am his 3rd home.

Chow Best 2si Chow is my beauty queen. She is a Sulphur Crested (triton subspecies). I was her 5th owner and I brought her home when she was 10.

Cotton Overallsi Cotton was our 1st 'too. He is an Umbrella 'too. He was 5 when we brought him home. He is a severe biter. His hormones get a little out of control in the spring and will inflect severe damage when he gets to triggered. He bit the boy in the home he came from and that was when they gave him up.

Izzy3si Izzy was our 3rd addition, she is missing one eye and has limited vision in the other. You would never know it by watching her. We can definately take lessons on how to live by watching our animal friends. She is a Goffin 'too.

Kipper Overall Brochure This is Kipper, he is the really cute one. He is a smaller Sulphur Crested 'too. He was our 4th addition. He came to us from another rescue org. He was relinqueshed by a bird breeder who simply had not done homework on what it takes to have a 'too. He is one of our easier kids.
