I started selling feathers when I started raising bantam chickens. I just knew there had to be a market for beautiful feathers from humanly treated birds. I have been raising birds most of my life so this business was a natural path for me to follow. My children are of the feathered kind. I have a sanctuary for Cockatoo's. I have 6 & wouldn't trade them for anything. They are the most amazing creatures I have ever met. They are smart, sensitive, intuitive and the adhd birds of the parrot world. Look for more information on them and my life with them. The rest of my time is spent gardening for farmers markets in NM. I usually grow items that few other farmers will attempt to grow in our area. I enjoy figuring out how to get things to grow to their optimium in non-native conditions. Vegtables like okra and tomatoes are a challange at my altitude. Along with items like potatoes and strawberries that like cooler summers than we have. I also have 4 rescue dogs (a life long passion also) and 4 cats (rescued of course)
